About the role
The Central Compliance team within Nomura's Powai Legal, Compliance and Conduct division supports global entities by managing training, licensing, and regulatory reporting to ensure adherence to compliance policies. This role administers US Training and Affirmations, develops interactive compliance courses, and coordinates with IT for system enhancements while providing analytical support to the US Compliance function. The position is based in Mumbai, India.
What you’ll do
- Administer and support US Compliance team with complete administration of Online and Offline Training and Affirmations
- Address queries and requests from US Compliance teams and staff regarding supported processes
- Provide necessary reports, periodic management information, and data required by US Compliance
- Coordinate with US Compliance and IT teams to facilitate UAT testing for system enhancements
- Assist in designing and developing interactive online Compliance Courses
- Ensure courses are fully tested with working functionality and troubleshoot issues
- Identify, facilitate, and implement process improvement ideas to enhance efficiency
- Represent the wider Compliance function credibly in discussions with other departments
What you’ll bring
- Graduate or Post-Graduate degree
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
- Basic product knowledge
- Basic US regulatory environment knowledge
Nice to have
- Strong administrative skills and analytical approach to problem solving
- Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Regulatory registrations, Certifications, and US Blue Sheet Reporting
- Demonstrable project management skills
