Senior Associate Finance-R&D

About the role

Amgen seeks a Senior Associate Finance‑R&D to support the R&D Finance team in Hyderabad. The role reports to the Director of Consolidation and focuses on planning, quarter close, consolidation, and process automation. Responsibilities include maintaining financial master data, creating WBS, managing cost centers, conducting variance analysis, forecasting, and supporting headcount and workforce planning. The candidate will also provide guidance to other finance associates, handle non‑time‑sensitive requests, and support product coding and recovery optimization. Candidates should have a Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Diploma in accounting/finance with 1–10 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and experience with SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan, or Excel. What you’ll do

• Report to Director of Consolidation in R&D Finance
• Assist in planning, quarter close, consolidation activities
• Expand centralization, automation, standardization practices
• Support senior finance associates in India
• Support functional and consolidation teams in R&D finance
• Maintain financial master data across systems
• Create WBS for project tracking
• Provide headcount and staffing support
• Assist workforce planning
• Support data migration to financial system
• Conduct variance analysis
• Forecast trended/low risk accounts
• Support FSP reporting, GMIP, milestones planning
• Support product coding and recovery optimization
• Handle non-time-sensitive financial requests

What you’ll bring

Master’s degree + 1-2 yrs accounting/finance OR Bachelor’s degree + 3-6 yrs accounting/finance OR Diploma + 8-10 yrs accounting/finance

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry experience
• Knowledge and understanding of financial planning processes, quarter close activities
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
