Automation Lead – Test Automation, BDD-Frameworks & AI/ML

About the role

Automation Lead at Thermo Fisher Scientific will spearhead the development of a cutting‑edge automation platform for advanced scientific instruments. With 6–10 years of test‑automation experience, the candidate will design, build, and maintain robust Python‑based test suites using PyTest, Playwright, Squish, and Robot Framework. They will architect BDD frameworks, create reusable step libraries, and integrate AI/ML services such as Azure OpenAI and LangChain to accelerate test authoring and execution. The role includes leading a team of automation engineers, driving CI/CD integration with Jenkins, and ensuring observability, reporting, and scalability of the platform. Experience in regulated environments and familiarity with modular architecture, design patterns, and data pipelines are essential. The position is hybrid, based in Bengaluru, India, and requires strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
