About the role

Qualcomm Core Platform Storage team builds high‑performance storage software across Qualcomm chipsets and operating systems. The Principal Engineer leads architecture, designs device drivers and storage frameworks, and mentors a team of engineers while collaborating with hardware, validation, and product teams. Hyderabad, India, on-site, with relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

  • Drive storage software architecture and design across Qualcomm multiprocessor chipsets
  • Develop and maintain Linux kernel storage subsystems, device drivers, and file systems
  • Lead failure triage, debugging, and quality assurance across the full SDLC
  • Collaborate with hardware designers, validation teams, and product management to define requirements
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to a team of 5‑6 engineers

What you’ll bring

  • 12-14 years embedded systems and device driver development
  • Bachelor's or Master's in ECE/EEE/CSE or related field
  • Deep expertise in storage technologies UFS, eMMC, NVMe, SD, SPI‑NOR
  • Strong C/C++ programming and Linux kernel driver experience
  • Experience with OS kernel development on Linux, Windows, RTOS
