Gen AI Data Scientist, Digital Marketing

About the role

Power & Sensor Systems (PSS) Division at Infineon Technologies builds AI-driven digital marketing solutions. The Data Scientist designs and implements generative AI applications, data pipelines, dashboards and RAG/agentic apps, mentors junior engineers and owns solution lifecycles. Bangalore, on-site, hybrid optional, travel to Austria and Germany occasionally.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain generative AI applications for digital marketing
  • Lead technical design, prompt engineering and AI deployment
  • Mentor junior engineers and ensure best practices
  • Collaborate with analytics team and business stakeholders
  • Own solution lifecycle from requirements to deployment and sustainment
  • Manage project timelines, quality and budget adherence
  • Communicate progress, risks and achievements to management
  • Identify and prioritize new AI-powered digital solutions

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years data science or analytics experience
  • Strong Python for data analysis and AI development
  • Experience with generative AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and foundation models (GPT, Claude)
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational/distributed data stores
  • Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search
  • Knowledge of data orchestration tools (Airflow, Mage AI)
  • Experience with DevOps/MLOps tools (Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Agile project management using Scrum, JIRA, Confluence

Nice to have

  • 5+ years data science or analytics experience
