About the role

Technology & Engineering team at Cognizant builds full‑stack AI solutions that translate enterprise AI investments into tangible outcomes. The role develops and operationalizes machine learning models, including generative AI and large language models, using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, MLflow, Docker, and Kubernetes. Works on prompt engineering, RAG architecture, and responsible AI practices to deliver end‑to‑end MLOps pipelines. Chennai, India, on‑site.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and evaluate ML and generative AI models
• Implement MLOps pipelines for model deployment and monitoring
• Integrate vector databases and RAG architectures into solutions
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align AI solutions with business goals
• Ensure responsible AI practices and compliance throughout the model lifecycle

What you’ll bring

• 3-12 years experience in machine learning or data science
• Proficiency in Python and statistical analysis
• Hands‑on model development and evaluation
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering
• Familiarity with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, and LangChain
• Understanding of vector databases and retrieval‑augmented generation
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch

Skills
