About the role
Quest Global Engineering Team drives innovative oil & gas solutions through advanced design and delivery. The Technical Manager leads a multidisciplinary group to oversee piping, P&ID, and 3D modeling design, ensure code compliance, conduct design reviews, and mentor engineers. Bengaluru, Karnataka, India – on-site work model.
What you’ll do
- Lead engineering design and detailing for piping projects
- Review contracts, specifications, and scope to integrate into designs
- Oversee design calculations, stress analysis, and material take‑offs
- Monitor progress and quality of deliverables across disciplines
- Allocate workloads and manage resource planning
- Facilitate design change requests and ensure code adherence
- Document lessons learned and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with client and site teams for project close‑out
What you’ll bring
- 15+ years oil & gas engineering experience
- 8-10 years leadership in engineering design
- Hands‑on piping, P&ID, 3D modeling (AutoCAD, Plant 3D)
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams for on‑time quality delivery
- Conduct design reviews and vendor drawing approvals
- Standardize design processes and tools
- Train team members and manage competency mapping
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications
