About the role
MSCI R&D Quality & Architecture seeks a Senior Associate to drive quality standards and AI-first workflows across product lines. The role involves implementing validation frameworks, promoting modular design, and enabling AI-driven automation in collaboration with research and engineering teams. This position is based in Mumbai, India, on-site.
What you’ll do
- Execute and support cross-product validation frameworks from the business/financial logic perspective
- Identify quality gaps and recommend improvements aligned with firm-wide standards
- Ensure AI-driven workflows meet defined quality thresholds
- Support implementation of modular architecture principles across products
- Identify reuse opportunities across platforms to reduce duplication
- Assist in defining and implementing best practices for AI-driven workflows
- Evaluate new AI use cases against established standards and governance models
- Partner with product, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure consistent application of standards
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM, quantitative finance, or highly quantitative subject
- 5-9 years of experience in a quantitative profile within Finance
- Experience with Python, C#, Java, or C++
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Exposure to AI/ML workflows, automation frameworks, or agent-based systems
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Indices is a plus
- Willingness to learn about capital markets
- Detail-oriented approach to daily work
- Strong written and oral proficiency in English
- Strong sense of ownership with projects

Education
