Associate Product Owner

About the role

TIAA Global Capabilities seeks an Associate Product Owner in Mumbai, India, to act as a liaison between engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to execute product strategy. The role manages the product backlog, authors product lifecycle documents such as roadmaps and functional specifications, and collaborates with Product Managers to create user stories. The position is full-time and hybrid, requiring 3+ years of experience with a university degree preferred.

What you’ll do

• Execute product strategy by liaising between engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
• Maintain and manage the prioritized product backlog
• Collaborate with Product Managers to create user stories
• Author product lifecycle documents including product roadmap, business requirements, and functional specifications
• Participate in sprint planning
• Perform market research and competitive analysis to drive iterative product development
• Support modernization and integration efforts

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years of work experience required
• University degree preferred
• Ability to act as a liaison between engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
• Experience managing and prioritizing the product backlog
• Ability to break requirements into user stories
• Experience authoring product lifecycle documents including roadmaps and business requirements
• Participation in sprint planning
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis
