Module Lead Systems Administration

About the role

Affinity Global seeks a Module Lead Systems Administration to oversee and secure its multi‑datacenter infrastructure across Mumbai. The role demands deep expertise in Linux (Debian/RedHat), cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), and automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet). Responsibilities include server installation, performance monitoring, CI/CD pipeline integration, vulnerability management, and security hardening. The candidate will collaborate with developers, maintain documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. With 4+ years of experience, strong scripting skills, and a passion for secure, scalable systems, the ideal applicant will help sustain Affinity’s privacy‑first ad infrastructure.

What you’ll do

• Maintain, upgrade, and manage servers and infrastructure
• Install and configure web and database servers
• Automate services and processes with CI/CD and Git
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot outages
• Implement security controls, backups, and firewalls
• Document processes, incidents, and policies
• Support developers with data insights and reports
• Research and innovate infrastructure solutions

What you’ll bring

• 4+ years in *nix systems administration or DevOps
• Expertise in Linux (Debian/RedHat) and cloud (GCP, AWS)
• Strong scripting (Shell, Python, Perl) and automation (Ansible, Chef)
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and security hardening

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GCP, AWS, containerization, clustering, virtualization
• Experience with database servers, TCP/IP, kernel upgrades
• Familiarity with Cloudera Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka
• Proficiency in security best practices, backups, encryption, IAM
• Hands‑on with Apache, Nginx, Bind/DNS, Nagios, iptables, LDAP, VPN
• Certifications in Linux or related *nix technologies
