About the role
Applications Development team at Citigroup builds and maintains data pipelines for banking operations. The ETL Developer leads design, development, and integration of ETL solutions using Talend, PySpark, DataStage, and custom pipelines, mentors mid-level staff, and ensures compliance with architecture and security standards. What you’ll do
- Partner with management teams to integrate functions and define system enhancements
- Resolve high-impact problems by evaluating complex business and system processes
- Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Provide expertise to ensure application design aligns with architecture blueprint
- Mentor and allocate work to mid-level developers and analysts
- Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and ethical standards
What you’ll bring
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis
- Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, PySpark, DataStage or similar platforms
- Strong programming skills in Python and Java
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and database design principles
- Experience with CI/CD processes
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools
- Experience with Salesforce and Mainframe is a significant advantage
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
