Gen AI Lead

About the role

Orion Innovation seeks a Gen AI Lead Engineer to spearhead design, development, and deployment of advanced AI-powered solutions. Lead a team of engineers and data scientists to harness cutting‑edge Generative AI technologies, architect and fine‑tune LLMs, build prompt‑engineering and RAG pipelines, and deploy models on Azure, AWS, or .NET platforms. Provide technical guidance, mentor staff, and stay abreast of AI trends. Drive API integration, MLOps practices, and data governance. Collaborate with product, UX, and stakeholders to define AI features and present concepts. Requires deep expertise in cloud AI services, LLM frameworks, and multimodal techniques, with proven leadership in end‑to‑end AI projects.

What you’ll do

• Lead design, implementation, and mentorship of GenAI solutions
• Architect, train, fine-tune LLMs; build prompt, RAG, domain pipelines
• Deploy models (ChatGPT) via Python on Azure/AWS/.Net; ensure scalability
• Develop APIs; integrate GenAI into enterprise apps; use cloud platforms
• Apply MLOps for monitoring, retraining, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with data engineering for data quality, governance, privacy
• Research multimodal AI, RLHF, active learning; evaluate frameworks
• Partner with product, stakeholders, UX; present technical concepts

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/AI/ML; PhD preferred
• 8+ years AI/ML engineering, 2+ years Generative AI
• 2+ years Conversational AI with cloud services
• 6+ years full-time Data Analysis, Stats, ML, CS
• Led AI projects from inception to production
• Experience with multimodal AI, Tree-of-Thoughts, RAG, RLHF
• Certifications: Azure AI Engineer, AWS ML, etc.
