About the role
Information Technology group at DTCC delivers secure, reliable technology solutions for global capital markets. As an Application Support Engineer you will maintain stability and performance of critical business applications, troubleshoot production issues, support deployments and improve monitoring across cloud and messaging platforms. Chennai, India (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
What you’ll do
- Provide production support for critical applications
- Monitor application health and respond to alerts
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve recurring issues
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams
- Maintain support documentation and runbooks
- Support application deployments and vendor upgrades
- Execute disaster recovery procedures
- Identify automation opportunities for operational processes
What you’ll bring
- 4+ years application support experience
- Java/J2EE expertise
- Oracle and SQL troubleshooting
- Linux/Unix proficiency
- Monitoring tools such as Splunk or Datadog
- Messaging technologies like IBM MQ or Kafka
- AWS or Azure cloud experience
- ITIL incident/problem/change management
