About the role
Tax Advisory Team at KPMG India provides tax due diligence and transaction advisory services for private equity and alternative investment funds. The Senior Tax M&A role conducts in‑depth tax due diligence, analyzes tax and regulatory implications of deal structures, and assists in designing tax‑efficient investment holdings. Works closely with fund managers, legal and finance teams, and coordinates with global KPMG groups to ensure compliance and deliver high‑quality client service. Mumbai, India, on‑site.
What you’ll do
- Conduct tax due diligence on target companies
- Render transaction advisory on buy‑side and sell‑side deals
- Analyze tax and regulatory implications of structures
- Collaborate with private equity funds on fund and portfolio tax matters
- Assist design of tax‑efficient investment holding structures
- Ensure timely compliance with income‑tax filings
- Coordinate with legal, financial and operational teams
- Maintain strong client relationships
What you’ll bring
- Qualified CA
- 0-2 years direct tax experience
- Working knowledge of income‑tax provisions
- Familiarity with FEMA and SEBI regulations
- Strong client management skills
- Excellent communication abilities
