About the role
Tax team at EY builds comprehensive tax compliance and advisory solutions for global clients. The Tax Senior prepares and reviews US business tax provisions, reconciles income tax expense, and conducts tax research while ensuring accurate financial reporting. Gurgaon office, on-site, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and review US tax provisions and related footnotes
- Reconcile income tax expense, payable, and receivable accounts
- Perform true-up calculations for tax expense and benefit
- Research tax and accounting issues, including valuation allowances
- Collaborate with audit and advisory teams on tax matters
- Utilize tax software tools for calculations and reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Support senior tax managers in client engagements
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 2 years tax accounting experience
- Bachelors in Accounting or Business Administration
- CPA/CA/EA/CMA certification a plus
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook
- Experience with tax software such as OTP, Vertex, Longview
- Understanding of ASC 740, IAS 12, GAAP, US Business Tax Law
- Ability to create journal entries and analyze financial statements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
