Manager : Thermal Tuning - Range development - EV/HEV/ICE

About the role

RNTBCI PL seeks a Manager for Thermal Tuning in Range Development to lead design delivery for EV, HEV, and ICE vehicles. The role involves mentoring designers, managing teams of 4-7 members, and making technical decisions based on BMIR standards. This full-time position is located in Chennai.

What you’ll do

• Responsible for project delivery delegated as Design Leader
• Coach and mentor Designers and Sr Design Engineers
• Manage team size of 4 to 7 members within the domain
• Take quick technical decisions to propose hypotheses to customers
• Develop systems according to customer requests
• Seek approval for deviations impacting cost, quality, or delivery

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 2 years experience in Harness routing using CATIA
• Experience with Passenger cars & commercial Vehicles (Panel Van, Truck, Bus)
• Background in OEMs or TIER I Suppliers
• Knowledge of Product Data Management tools
• Understanding of complete vehicle architecture

Nice to have

• Experience in wiring harness & Vehicle development programs
• Knowledge of DFMEA processes
• Proficiency in wiring harness circuit schematics and drawings
• Familiarity with automobile EE functions (BCM/EMS/ABS/Airbags)
