About the role
Qualcomm CPU Software Architecture team develops high‑performance, low‑power software for next‑generation processors. The Staff Engineer designs and optimizes CPU‑centric code, runs and creates benchmarks, and collaborates with CPU, compiler, and kernel teams as well as external benchmark vendors. Bangalore, India, On-site, Full-time, Senior level.
What you’ll do
- Develop and optimize CPU‑focused software for performance and power efficiency
- Create and run benchmarks for pre‑ and post‑silicon validation
- Identify and implement optimization opportunities across stacks
- Partner with internal CPU, compiler, kernel groups and external benchmark vendors
- Evaluate software workloads, libraries, compilers, and runtime algorithms
What you’ll bring
- 9+ years software engineering experience
- Proficiency in C/C++/Assembly/Python/JavaScript
- Deep knowledge of Linux internals and device drivers
- Strong understanding of CPU architecture and OS concepts
- Experience with performance benchmarking and optimization
- Collaboration with cross‑functional hardware and software teams
