About the role
Qualcomm CPU Software Architecture team drives next‑generation performance and energy efficiency across Qualcomm processors. The Staff Engineer develops and optimizes low‑power, high‑performance software, runs pre‑ and post‑silicon benchmarks, and creates new benchmarks for emerging workloads. Bangalore, India, on‑site role focusing on CPU architecture and Linux kernel integration.
What you’ll do
- Develop and optimize software for high performance and low power on Qualcomm CPUs
- Run and analyze benchmarks pre‑ and post‑silicon
- Create new benchmarks for emerging workloads
- Evaluate optimization opportunities across libraries, compilers, and runtimes
- Collaborate with CPU, compiler, kernel teams and external benchmark vendors
- Implement solutions to meet performance targets
What you’ll bring
- 9+ years software engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years)
- 2+ years C/C++/Python programming
- Strong understanding of Linux internals and device drivers
- Deep knowledge of CPU architecture and OS concepts
- Experience with performance benchmarking and optimization
