About the role
Global Payments seeks an Associate Site Reliability Engineer for the Experience & Portals Application Operations team in Pune, India. This role ensures reliability and performance of production applications and GCP infrastructure through monitoring, incident management, and automation. The position operates on a 24x5 support model with rotational weekend on-call duties.
What you’ll do
- Monitor applications and services in production to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Support infrastructure hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Perform database monitoring and troubleshoot issues using logs
- Manage incidents, service requests, and changes via ITSM processes
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Balance operational support with development of automation tools
- Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives
- Participate in 24x5 support model including rotational weekend on-call
What you’ll bring
- 1 to 3 years experience in Production Support or IT operations
- Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow
- Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Hands-on experience with databases such as Cloud SQL, SQL Server, BigQuery, Firestore, and MongoDB
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, or Logic Monitor
