Structural Analysis Engineer

About the role

Quest Global is a premier engineering solutions provider with a 25-year legacy, seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to join its Bengaluru, Karnataka, India team. The role involves performing FE meshing, model setup, and structural, thermal, and modal analyses using ANSYS (Workbench & APDL) and UG NX modeling tools. The engineer will validate results, document assessments, and present findings to stakeholders while working independently and collaboratively on complex structures.

What you’ll do

• Perform FE meshing of complex structures using 1D, 2D, & 3D elements
• Perform model set-up including material, boundary condition, load, & contact application in ANSYS
• Perform static thermal, structural and modal analyses
• Perform bolted joint assessment with reduced order and 3D modeling approaches
• Perform fatigue (LCF and HCF) analysis
• Validate the results and document the assessment along with results summary and conclusion
• Participate in internal & external reviews and present the assessment to stakeholders
• Perform the task in timely manner with high quality

What you’ll bring

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 2 to 5 years of experience in finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS (Workbench & APDL)
• Proficient in FE meshing of complex structures using 1D, 2D, & 3D elements
• Working experience in UG NX modeling
• Model clean-up and modification using Spaceclaim or Design Modeller
• Good experience in free body diagram and hand calculation
• Experience in performing strength assessment as per ASME BPV Sec VIII Code
• Good understanding of ANSYS Element library, material models, and APDL scripting
