About the role
Quest Global seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, to deliver finite element analysis and strength assessments for complex engineering structures. Day-to-day work includes FE meshing of 1D/2D/3D structures, ANSYS model setup (materials, boundary conditions, loads, contact), linear and nonlinear modeling, static thermal/structural/modal analyses, bolted joint assessment, fatigue analysis, result validation, documentation, and stakeholder presentations. The role requires a Mechanical engineering graduate/postgraduate with 2–5 years of ANSYS (Workbench & APDL) FEA experience and independent, ownership-driven execution.
What you’ll do
- Perform model set-up including material, boundary condition, load, and contact application in ANSYS
- Apply good understanding and experience in linear and non-linear modeling
- Perform static thermal, structural, and modal analyses
- Perform bolted joint assessment using reduced order and 3D modeling approaches
- Perform fatigue (LCF and HCF) analysis
- Validate results and document the assessment with results summary and conclusion
- Participate in internal and external reviews and present assessments to stakeholders
- Perform tasks in a timely manner with high quality
What you’ll bring
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of experience in finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS (Workbench & APDL)
- Proficiency in FE meshing of complex structures using 1D, 2D, and 3D elements
- Hands-on experience creating hexahedral, tetrahedral, and combined meshes with transition in ANSYS/NX CAE
- Working experience in UG NX modeling
- Model clean-up and modification using Spaceclaim or Design Modeller
- Good experience in free body diagram and hand calculation
- Experience performing strength assessment as per ASME BPV Sec VIII Code
