About the role
EXL is building a strategic Business Intelligence capability to help the organization understand how AI and emerging technologies will reshape industries, client demand, and competitive landscapes. We seek AVP/VP-level Strategy & Industry Consultants with strong sector judgment, consulting rigor, and executive credibility to interpret market signals and translate them into strategic insights for EXL’s businesses. The role advises Strategic Growth Units and Industry Market Units, combining industry expertise, strategic thinking, and AI context to anticipate industry trends and uncover new opportunities.
What you’ll do
- Bring sector judgment & strategic industry perspective
- Deeply understand industry dynamics, competition, structural shifts
- Apply structured thinking to spot opportunities & risks
- Analyze AI, automation, data tech transforming industry models
- Translate AI developments into client business implications
- Interpret signals: market trends, competitors, regulations, tech breakthroughs
- Convert signals into SGU/IMU growth, client needs, capability, innovation priorities
- Serve as thought partner to SGU/IMU leadership, guide planning & GTM
- Build executive credibility, trusted relationships, strategic client discussions
What you’ll bring
- 5-7 yrs experience in strategy consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain)
- Advising senior execs on strategy, transformation, digital/AI initiatives
- Deep industry expertise (Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Retail, Energy)
- Strong AI, data platform, digital transformation awareness
- Structured problem‑solving, strategic thinking, signal translation
- Executive communication, influence senior leadership
