Forward Deployed AI Engineer

About the role

Cloudera’s Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) function sits within the Applied AI organization, accelerating AI adoption for strategic enterprise customers by embedding with them to pilot and operationalize AI solutions. The Forward Deployed AI Engineer designs, builds, and ships full‑stack AI/ML applications, advises on AI roadmaps, and codifies repeatable patterns into reference architectures and starter kits. Remote role based in India, supporting global customers.

What you’ll do

• Develop full‑stack AI/ML applications on the Cloudera platform to demonstrate enterprise use cases
• Collaborate directly with customer teams to advance AI prototypes to production readiness
• Advise customer leaders on AI roadmaps, solution design, and deployment
• Standardize successful patterns into repeatable reference architectures, productized solutions, and internal playbooks
• Act as a thought leader and mentor, contributing resources that grow overall AI capability
• Channel field and customer feedback to product teams to improve the AI platform

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years building and deploying production‑grade systems
• 2–4 years focused on building ML or GenAI and agentic applications
• Strong hands‑on software engineering, data engineering, and applied AI/ML skills
• Experience building full‑stack ML applications or agentic systems using modern AI frameworks
