About the role
Global Marine & Navy HVAC Design team at Johnson Controls designs and commissions complex HVAC and refrigeration systems for Navy vessels. The engineer creates technical proposals, performs load calculations, develops detailed specifications, and supports installation and commissioning while collaborating with clients and stakeholders. Kochi, Kerala, India, on-site.
What you’ll do
- Develop technical proposals for HVAC enquiries
- Design projects from concept through detailed design to installation support
- Perform HVAC load calculations and write system specifications
- Prepare test procedures and technical reports
- Conduct site visits and surveys as needed
- Engage with clients and project stakeholders throughout lifecycle
- Identify new products or technologies to enhance market differentiation
- Propose alternative designs to reduce energy and lifecycle costs
- Review OEM designs for compliance with client requirements
What you’ll bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or Refrigeration
- Experience in HVAC or Mechanical Systems design
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D/3D and/or Inventor
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong team collaboration skills
- Ability to prioritize workloads
