Java Kafka Senior Engineer

About the role

Iris Software is seeking a Senior Java Kafka Engineer in Noida, UP, India to design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. The role involves defining API contracts, building event-driven systems with Kafka, optimizing performance, owning end-to-end module delivery, and mentoring junior developers. The position is based in Noida and focuses on mission-critical backend systems for enterprise clients.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Define API contracts, service boundaries, and integration strategies for distributed and enterprise-grade systems.
• Develop reusable backend components and enterprise services following clean architecture and secure coding practices.
• Optimize application performance through caching, asynchronous processing, database tuning, and JVM optimization.
• Own end-to-end delivery of assigned modules including design, development, testing support, and deployment readiness.
• Conduct code reviews ensuring adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and engineering best practices.
• Design event-driven architectures and asynchronous communication mechanisms to improve system scalability and resilience.
• Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks by performing detailed root cause analysis and implementing sustainable fixes.
