Field Medical Manager – Poultry

About the role

The Field Medical Manager – Poultry at Zoetis provides advanced veterinary and technical expertise to poultry customers and external stakeholders across the Pune territory in Maharashtra, India. Day-to-day, the role plans and executes KOL management and marketing strategies, delivers scientific and diagnostic support (serology, PCR, hatchery activities), coaches and monitors the field team, and ensures compliance with pharmacovigilance and business conduct policies. The position requires regular domestic travel (about 70%) with occasional foreign travel and is a full-time, remote-eligible role based in Pune.

What you’ll do

• Plan, implement, and coordinate Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management plans aligned with product focus and future launches, and support execution of the strategy
• Contribute to Poultry Business Unit strategic plans by providing comprehensive knowledge of customers and markets
• Develop and deliver value-added service activities such as serology, PCR, and hatchery-related activities
• Translate strategy into tactical delivery and maintain current knowledge of market, industry trends, and competition
• Maintain an overview of account plans across the business unit with a strategic and technical view
• Plan regular field visits with field colleagues to understand day-to-day issues and monitor attitudes, skills, morale, and effectiveness
• Provide technical support to customers and undertake leadership activities to coach, monitor, give feedback, train, and support the team
• Monitor KPIs to drive required coverage and frequency with target customers and deliver consequent growth

What you’ll bring

• Master’s degree in veterinary medicine is required
• Valid passport
• Valid driving license (4-wheeler)
• IT literate with ability to use standard business software, communication tools, and presentation skills
• Good command of verbal and written English
• Advanced technical and veterinary skills and knowledge
• Strong communication skills to translate technical information clearly and concisely
• Customer centricity with a strong service orientation

Nice to have

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the animal health industry is desirable
• Experience presenting to large groups of industry KOLs or at industry meetings
• Knowledge of working in diagnostic labs is an added advantage
• Knowledge of multiple regional languages is an added advantage
