Lead Security Operations Analyst

About the role

Smarsh seeks a Lead Security Operations Analyst to oversee SOC operations, manage escalated incidents, mentor analysts, conduct threat hunting, and ensure compliance with security policies. The role requires deep expertise in SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, and incident response, along with strong analytical and forensic skills. Candidates should hold advanced certifications (CISSP, OSCP, etc.) and have at least 10 years of cybersecurity experience.

What you’ll do

• Lead SOC incident escalation and response coordination.
• Mentor and train security analysts on incident handling.
• Conduct threat hunting and integrate threat intelligence.
• Develop and refine security tool architecture.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
• Manage 24x7 on‑call rotation for high‑severity incidents.

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years in cybersecurity, specializing in SOC operations.
• Advanced knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, firewalls.
• Proven incident response and forensic analysis skills.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Leadership experience mentoring security analysts.
• Excellent communication in English.

Nice to have

• CISSP, OSCP, GCIH, GCIA, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
