Security Operations Lead

About the role

Security Operations Center (SOC) at Paytm is responsible for protecting critical business systems, customer data, and digital assets while ensuring compliance with RBI and industry standards. The SOC Lead oversees 24x7 security monitoring, incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and DLP operations, driving process improvements and automation. Based in Noida with an on-site work model, the role includes executive reporting and cross‑functional collaboration with Cloud Security, Application Security, and Fraud Risk teams.

What you’ll do

• Lead and manage 24x7 SOC functions and team performance
• Develop and enhance SOC processes, playbooks, and operational metrics
• Oversee SIEM/XSIAM, SOAR, UEBA, and threat intelligence platform implementations
• Direct incident response, threat hunting, and forensic investigations
• Manage enterprise DLP strategy and vulnerability management programs
• Ensure compliance with RBI, PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, and other regulatory frameworks
• Provide executive reporting on threat landscape, incident trends, and risk posture
• Mentor SOC analysts and coordinate cross‑functional security initiatives

What you’ll bring

• 15+ years of information security experience
• 8+ years managing SOC or security operations teams
• Experience operating enterprise‑scale SOC environments
• Background in banking, fintech, or regulated financial services
• Proven leadership of multi‑functional security teams
