Project Lead

About the role

JLL's Project and Development Services team in Chennai, India is seeking a Project Lead to shape the future of real estate by delivering projects from pre-design through completion. You will assemble and lead project teams, establish organizational structures and working procedures, manage budgets and project objectives, and oversee all project stages while facilitating negotiations, analyses, and meetings with authorities. You will also build lasting client relationships, represent client interests, retain new business, and promote JLL's offerings to prospects, landlord clients, investor networks, and industry associations. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Chennai, TN.

What you’ll do

• Assemble and lead various project teams, establishing effective organizational structure and working procedures
• Identify project objectives and allot sufficient budget to achieve optimal results and meet company target profits
• Manage and monitor different stages of projects from pre-design phase up to completion
• Facilitate negotiations, analyses, and meetings with authorities
• Establish strong business relationships with clients by identifying and working around their needs and constraints
• Represent client interests effectively throughout the whole project duration
• Retain new business contacts and repeat businesses from new investors or landlord clients within an agreed time period
• Promote JLL's business offerings to new prospects, key local landlord clients, business investor networks, and industry landlord associations

What you’ll bring

• Degree in a relevant property-related discipline
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in design, construction, and project management
• Fluent in written and spoken Bahasa and English (in addition to native tongue)
• In-depth understanding of local codes and legislation
• Proven track record in project management
• High-level management skills with ability to make tough decisions
• Ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders
• Structured, organized approach and ability to thrive under pressure with tight deadlines
