About the role
ICF seeks a senior consultant to lead analysts in power market modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis across US markets. Responsibilities include developing price forecasts, plant proformas, market reports, business development, and mentoring staff. Requires 5-7 years in North American electric power sector, expertise in ERCOT, PJM, etc., and tools like PROMOD, PSLF. Strong communication, Microsoft Office, and independent technical analysis skills.
What you’ll do
- Lead analysts in power market modeling and forecasting
- Develop price forecasts, plant proformas, and financial projections
- Issue detailed market reports and defend findings
- Grow business through client interactions and proposals
- Mentor junior staff and collaborate with senior management
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Math, Economics, or related quantitative field
- 5+ years in North American electric power sector, market analysis, forecasting
- Experience with ERCOT, PJM, ISONE, NYISO, MISO, SPP, CAISO, WECC, SERC
- Proficient in PROMOD, PSLF, and other market modeling tools
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office
- Independent technical analysis and supervision experience
Nice to have
- Master's in related field or closely related area
- Consulting background preferred; financial analysis, asset valuation, or power plant development experience
- Business development and managerial experience
