Team Lead Java

About the role

The Team Lead - Java serves as the senior technical leader for a multi-tier enterprise platform featuring a legacy Grails core, a React single-page application, and Java/Spring backend services, based in India. Day-to-day, the role drives architecture and modernization strategy, delivery governance, secure engineering, and Bitbucket Pipelines oversight, while coordinating deployments and AWS integration across the Product Development application portfolio. The lead also provides DevOps oversight across the entire portfolio, mentors developers, and supports cross-training across teams.

What you’ll do

• Lead architecture and modernization strategy for the multi-tier enterprise platform
• Provide delivery governance and secure engineering oversight
• Oversee Bitbucket Pipelines and coordinate deployments across the Product Development application portfolio
• Provide AWS integration oversight and establish cross-application DevOps standards
• Mentor developers and support cross-training across teams
• Provide senior technical leadership for the platform combining Grails, React, and Java/Spring services

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise application development
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API, and service-oriented architecture experience
• Experience with a multi-tier enterprise platform including a legacy Grails core application
• Experience with React single-page applications
• Experience with Java/Spring backend services
• Ability to provide DevOps oversight across an application portfolio
• Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines, deployment coordination, and AWS integration oversight
