The Engineer, Purchase role in the Fabrication & Machining category handles procurement activities to ensure goods and materials are sourced, purchased, and received according to plans and specifications. Based in Dombivli, the position requires 5 to 7 years of experience in the Fabrication & Machining category and a BE in Mechanical Engineering.

What you’ll do

• Liaise with project management, production, or other functions to specify procurement needs
• Conduct supplier mapping and sourcing to ensure market knowledge and relations meet Valmet needs
• Execute timely purchasing of relevant materials according to plans and specifications
• Execute needed logistic and transportation solutions
• Actively monitor and manage supplier deliveries for quality and schedule
• Work independently on standard, basic project or production-related procurement
• Follow procedures to complete procurement activities
• Operate within a mainly national geographical scope

What you’ll bring

• BE Mechanical Engineering qualification
• 5 to 7 years of experience in the Fabrication & Machining category
• Specialist knowledge in component, Fabrication & Machining category
• Ability to liaise with project management and production functions
