Associate Director, DevSecOps & Cloud Engineering

About the role
AstraZeneca Rare Disease Digital Transformation team accelerates digital innovation by building secure, scalable cloud platforms that enable scientific breakthroughs. The Associate Director leads DevSecOps strategy, designs multi‑account AWS architectures, implements Terraform and Ansible frameworks, and drives security‑by‑design automation and AIOps monitoring. Based in Bangalore with a hybrid model (minimum three days onsite).
What you’ll do
- Define and execute DevSecOps strategy across the enterprise
- Architect multi‑account AWS environments using Control Tower and Organizations
- Build and maintain Terraform modules and Ansible roles for infrastructure automation
- Implement security‑by‑default designs, vulnerability scanning, and secrets management
- Develop monitoring platforms with AIOps capabilities for anomaly detection
- Design CI/CD pipelines with blue‑green and canary deployments
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years DevSecOps/Cloud Engineering
- 5+ years enterprise AWS architecture
- Expert Terraform and Ansible IaC
- CI/CD pipeline design (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab)
- Security automation (vulnerability scanning, policy as code)
- Kubernetes/EKS production experience
- Python, Bash or Go automation scripting
- FinOps and cost optimization expertise
