About the role

AstraZeneca Digital Transformation Office drives secure, scalable technology platforms for rare disease research. The Associate Director leads DevSecOps and cloud engineering, shaping architecture, automation, security, and observability across enterprise workloads. Works from the Bangalore office three days a week, with hybrid flexibility, influencing multi‑account AWS environments and AI‑enhanced monitoring.

What you’ll do

• Drive adoption of emerging cloud technologies and standards
• Provide architectural guidance for migrations and modernization
• Conduct architecture reviews and enforce compliance
• Design and manage multi‑account AWS environments with Control Tower
• Build Terraform frameworks and enforce Policy as Code
• Implement DevSecOps practices, security‑by‑default, and vulnerability scanning
• Create monitoring solutions leveraging AI for anomaly detection
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with blue‑green and canary deployments
• Mentor engineers and lead cross‑team technical collaborations

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years DevSecOps/Cloud Engineering
• 5+ years enterprise‑scale AWS architecture
• Expert Terraform and Ansible IaC
• CI/CD pipeline design (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab)
• Security automation and vulnerability scanning
• Production Kubernetes/EKS expertise
• Observability platforms with AIOps
• Python, Bash or Go scripting
