About the role

Data Engineering Platform and Tools team at Mattel builds scalable data pipelines and warehouse solutions on Google Cloud. The role designs, develops, and maintains batch and streaming pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer, and optimizes SQL and workflow performance. Hyderabad, on-site, hybrid schedule as needed.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop batch and streaming data pipelines on GCP
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage
• Create and maintain orchestration workflows with Cloud Composer (Airflow)
• Optimize SQL queries and improve BigQuery performance
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years data engineering experience
• Proficient in GCP services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills
• Experience with ETL/ELT design and data modeling
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Git, Cloud Build or Jenkins
• Knowledge of containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
