About the role

Finance Technology team at Barclays drives finance transformation through SAP solutions. The SAP Functional FICO SME designs, configures, and supports end‑to‑end SAP Finance modules, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational resilience. Works with finance, treasury, risk, and technology stakeholders to deliver enhancements, automation, and clean‑core standards. Based in Pune, on‑site role with hybrid collaboration across global teams.

What you’ll do

• Design and configure SAP FICO solutions to meet business and compliance needs
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of enhancements, testing, and production support
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and external vendors for seamless integration
• Champion data quality, automation, and clean‑core principles across finance platforms
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Manage risk and control activities related to finance systems
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence
• Engage with finance stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years SAP FICO functional experience
• SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation
• Expertise in General Ledger, Asset Accounting, AP, AR, and Banking processes
• Knowledge of IFRS16 lease accounting and regulatory reporting
• Experience with SAP Group Reporting and integration with MM/SD/Project Systems
• Strong stakeholder management across Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Audit
• Proven ability to drive automation and process simplification
• Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and DevOps delivery environments
