About the role
Carrier Global Lab Operations builds and manages HVAC testing facilities to ensure product quality and compliance. The Assistant Manager will develop, plan, and execute new lab setups, oversee lab operations, testing, validation, vendor management, and drive productivity and cost‑kaizen initiatives. Gurgaon, India, on‑site role with flexible schedules and professional development benefits.
What you’ll do
- Drive new lab setups and critical vendor management
- Handle lab operations, testing, and validation of HVAC products
- Manage test scheduling, resource allocation, and capacity planning
- Oversee lab EH&S improvements and compliance activities
- Lead people development, process improvements, and cost‑kaizen initiatives
- Ensure lab customer experience and certification accreditation
What you’ll bring
Bachelors or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering
Nice to have
- 5+ years lab operations and new lab setup experience
- HVAC product testing expertise (Chiller/VRF)
- Knowledge of Indian and international HVAC standards (NABL, BEE)
- Vendor management and test certification experience
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
