About the role

Platform Engineering at QuinStreet drives the modernization of high‑volume event processing platforms. The Senior Director leads the Quest v2 migration, designing Java/Spring Boot services, Kafka pipelines, and MySQL optimizations while guiding a team of engineers and QA professionals. This hybrid role is based in Pune, India, with a blend of remote and onsite work.

What you’ll do

• Architect and implement Quest v2 migration initiatives
• Define engineering patterns for event processing and state management
• Design scalable Kafka‑based pipelines ensuring reliability and idempotency
• Optimize MySQL performance and implement caching strategies
• Conduct architecture and code reviews, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting
• Establish migration strategies including coexistence, cutover, and rollback
• Drive production readiness, resilience testing, and operational excellence
• Mentor engineers through technical leadership

• 10+ years software engineering
• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot
• Strong experience with Kafka and event‑driven architectures
• MySQL performance tuning and schema design
• Redis caching and REST API development
• Hands‑on development of high‑volume production systems
