About the role

R1 RCM Backend Operations team drives end‑to‑end revenue cycle solutions for hospitals and health systems. The Director leads a span of up to 800 FTEs, overseeing P&L, client relationships, and high‑impact projects while ensuring compliance and quality. Chennai, on‑site work model, shift 6 pm‑3 am, with opportunities to shape strategy and mentor senior managers.

What you’ll do

• Set strategic direction and align team with company values
• Coach and develop senior managers and frontline staff
• Oversee delivery of backend services across multiple client sites
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and approve process changes
• Manage client expectations and upsell opportunities
