Identity Senior Solution Specialist -On-Premises & Hybrid Access

About the role

Global Presales team at Okta helps customers secure complex on‑premises environments by delivering tailored demos, proofs of concept and strategic guidance around Okta Access Gateway. The Senior Solution Specialist leads technical sessions, designs hybrid architecture demos and creates reusable content to enable the broader presales organization. Remote role based in Bengaluru, India with up to 40% travel for customer meetings and events.

What you’ll do

• Lead technical discovery sessions with infrastructure and security leaders
• Design and execute outcome‑focused proofs of concept for on‑premises integrations
• Create and maintain demo environments, diagrams and documentation
• Provide strategic guidance to Solutions Engineering teams across Okta platforms
• Develop and deliver webinars, keynote presentations and technical sessions
• Collaborate with Field CTO and product teams to feed customer insights
• Enable regional presales teams through frameworks, tools and content
• Represent Okta at industry events and advisory boards

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years identity or access management experience
• Deep expertise in legacy WAM tools (CA Siteminder, OAM, PingAccess)
• Proficiency with hybrid identity integration (AD, LDAP, OIDC/SAML)
• Hands‑on experience securing SAP, Oracle EBS or similar enterprise apps
• Strong knowledge of Kerberos, header‑based auth and reverse proxies
• Experience with Okta Access Gateway deployments
• Automation scripting (Python, PowerShell) or IaC (Terraform, Pulumi)
• Relevant certifications (CIDPRO, CISSP, CCSP, CISM)
