About the role
Bayer’s Crop Science division in Himmatnagar, Gujarat, seeks an Electrical Subject Matter Expert to oversee electrical systems and utilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient site operations. The role involves leading technicians, managing infrastructure projects, and implementing energy-saving initiatives. This is an on-site position based in India.
What you’ll do
- Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems and utilities
- Lead team of technicians and contractors for seamless site operations
- Manage power distribution, water, HVAC, and other utility services
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, ISO 9001 & 14001 standards
- Develop preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Monitor energy consumption and implement efficiency initiatives
- Plan and manage electrical infrastructure projects within budget
- Provide coaching and mentoring to technical staff
What you’ll bring
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Electrical Supervisor Certificate
- 5+ years experience in chemical plants
- Hands-on experience with VFDs, UPS, HT/LT switchgears, DG generators
- Knowledge of PLC/DCS control systems
- Fluent English communication
