About the role

Low Power AI Software team at Qualcomm develops embedded software for next‑generation low‑power NPU accelerators. The Senior Engineer designs, implements, and integrates ML framework kernels, creates test frameworks, and collaborates with R&D and systems teams for model optimization and commercialization. Hyderabad, India, on‑site role.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement ML framework kernels for Qualcomm low‑power accelerator
• Integrate and test ML operators on hardware accelerator
• Develop test frameworks for end‑to‑end ML software and model performance validation
• Collaborate with R&D and systems teams on model optimization and system integration
• Support commercialization and use‑case testing of AI accelerator solutions

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years systems engineering experience
• Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
• Experience with embedded software development
• Familiarity with ML operators (Transformers, LSTM, GRU)
• Knowledge of software design patterns and multithreading
• Understanding of model quantization and compression
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX
