CAE Engineer / Analyst, Crash & Safety

About the role

Engineering Department at Maruti Suzuki India focuses on vehicle safety through advanced crash simulation. The CAE Engineer builds full‑vehicle models in HyperMesh/ANSYS, runs LS‑Dyna simulations, and analyzes results to guide design countermeasures. Works on-site in Gurgaon, collaborating with testing teams and design engineers to improve occupant safety.

What you’ll do

• Develop full‑vehicle CAE models and set up simulations
• Run system and full‑vehicle crash analyses using LS‑Dyna
• Optimize models with DiffCrash, ModeFrontier, LS‑OPT
• Interpret results in LS‑PrePost and recommend design changes
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders
• Coordinate with testing teams to correlate simulation and physical test data
• Debug and refine CAE models for accurate crash predictions
• Support continuous improvement of CAE methodologies

What you’ll bring

• 3-6 years experience in automotive crash CAE
• BE/B Tech Mechanical (required)
• ME/M Tech Mechanical Design (preferred)
• Proficiency with HyperMesh, ANSA, LS‑Dyna
• Knowledge of AIS safety regulations and NCAP protocols
• Strong fundamentals in strength of materials and plasticity
• Experience interpreting FEA results and preparing technical reports
• Ability to collaborate with testing and design teams
