About the role

Chevron Engineering and Innovation Excellence Center (ENGINE) in Bengaluru builds digital solutions to advance energy innovation. The Senior Web Developer leads design and development of complex web applications using Angular, ensures performance, scalability, and integrates with Azure services. Works onsite in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and mentoring junior developers.

What you’ll do

• Lead design and development of complex web solutions
• Mentor junior developers and enforce best practices
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability
• Implement responsive designs across devices
• Integrate front‑end with back‑end services and APIs
• Conduct code reviews and improve development processes
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in Angular and/or other frameworks (React, Vue.js, ASP.NET Razor Pages)
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Functions, DevOps)
