About the role

Altera Semiconductor's verification team ensures FPGA designs meet rigorous functional and performance specs. The Lead Design Verification Engineer develops verification plans, builds test benches, and runs simulations to validate microarchitecture, power, and timing, while debugging and fixing issues. Works onsite in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, collaborating with architects and RTL developers to improve verification methodologies.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute FPGA verification plans and test benches
  • Run system simulations to verify functionality, power, and timing
  • Debug and root‑cause pre‑silicon issues
  • Collaborate with RTL, architecture, and physical design teams
  • Maintain and improve verification infrastructure and methodology

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years of technical experience in pre‑silicon verification
  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering
  • Experience with OVM/UVM and SystemVerilog
  • Proficiency in constrained‑random verification methodologies
  • Knowledge of FPGA architecture and prototyping
