Manager SOC Cyber Defense and Engineering Advisory

About the role

PwC's Cybersecurity and Privacy services team in Airoli (Advisory, Risk specialism) protects organizations from cyber threats through advanced technologies and strategies. As a Cybersecurity generalist, you will provide comprehensive security solutions across domains, maintaining protection of client systems and data by applying broad cybersecurity principles to diverse challenges. Day-to-day work includes round-the-clock threat monitoring, alert triage, incident validation, playbook-based recommendations, and developing incident management policies.

What you’ll do

• Round the clock threat monitoring and detection
• Analysis of suspicious, malicious, and abnormal behavior
• Alert triage, initial assessment, incident validation, severity and urgency determination
• Prioritization of security alerts and creating incidents as per SOPs
• Reporting and escalation to stakeholders
• Post-incident analysis
• Consistent incident triage and recommendations using playbooks
• Develop and maintain incident management and incident response policies and procedures

What you’ll bring

• B.Tech/MCA/MBA with IT background or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in SOC/Incident Management/Incident Response/Threat Detection Engineering/Vulnerability Management/SOC platform management/Automation/Asset Integration/Threat In
• Mandatory certification (any one): Certified SOC Analyst, CHFI, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, GCIH, or equivalent
• SOC Operations experience
• Cybersecurity knowledge
• Encryption Technologies knowledge
• Cybersecurity Framework, Policy, Requirements, and Strategy understanding
• 2-5 years of experience

Nice to have

• Product Certifications on SOC Security Tools such as SIEM/Vulnerability Management/DAM/UBA/SOAR/NBA etc.
• SOC - Splunk
