Assistant Manager - Cyber Security

About the role
The Assistant Manager – Cyber Security leads the SOC, overseeing incident response, security engineering, and threat detection. The role drives automation, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with IT, legal, and compliance teams. It requires strong leadership, technical expertise in SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and SOAR, and a proven track record in managing high‑severity incidents and SOC operations.
What you’ll do
- Lead SOC operations and incident response
- Oversee incident management process and escalation
- Manage SOC technology stack (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, SOAR)
- Conduct incident response drills and tabletop exercises
- Coordinate with IT, legal, compliance during incidents
- Analyze and triage security incidents for prioritization
- Drive automation and continuous improvement of SOC processes
- Report incident trends and compliance status to leadership
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field
- 5+ years in security operations or incident management
- 2+ years in leadership or supervisory role
Nice to have
- Advanced degree (Master's, MBA) in Cybersecurity or related
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, GIAC
- Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS
