Lead - Commercial Sourcing

About the role

Tata Electronics, a global leader in electronics manufacturing and semiconductors, seeks a Lead for Commercial Sourcing to manage end-to-end import/export logistics. Based in Bengaluru, this role ensures customs compliance, regulatory governance, and risk management for semiconductor operations. The position requires deep expertise in Indian trade laws and coordination with global partners.

What you’ll do

• Lead and oversee end-to-end import, export, and bonded logistics operations
• Ensure adherence to Indian Customs Act, DGFT Foreign Trade Policy, and international trade laws
• Manage HS classification, customs valuation, duty exemptions, and Free Trade Agreements
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, CHAs, and regulatory bodies like DGFT and BIS
• Serve as primary contact during customs audits, investigations, and regulatory reviews
• Ensure compliance with hazardous goods regulations including IATA DGR and PESO requirements
• Identify and mitigate customs, trade, and logistics-related operational risks
• Utilize government portals (ICEGATE) and ERP systems for documentation and inventory management

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade
• 10+ years of experience in import/export operations and customs compliance
• Experience within manufacturing environments, preferably electronics or semiconductor industries
• Postgraduate qualifications preferred
