About the role
The Senior Project Manager joins the Index team at ISS STOXX in Gurgaon, India, planning and delivering initiatives on the Index Roadmap in line with product and strategic objectives. Day-to-day work includes managing dependencies, driving decision-making, supporting the shift from waterfall to agile, and mentoring junior Index PM resources. The role also covers stakeholder management, resource and budget coordination, risk management, and status reporting for the STOXX business unit.
What you’ll do
- Manage dependencies and drive decision-making where a plan is dependent on decisions not yet taken
- Help cement best practice for change execution, including supporting Index teams moving from waterfall to agile for some of the change portfolio
- Support junior Index PM resources across locations as a sounding board
- Plan, execute, and successfully close increments of prioritized initiatives on the Index Roadmap, producing adequate documentation and taking accountability for delivery
- Identify and coordinate key stakeholders including vendors and service providers, maintain effective communication, manage expectations, and provide project updates
- Gather and coordinate allocation of resources, both human and technical, to execute migration tasks
- Prepare and track project budget, monitor expenses, and control costs throughout the project
- Identify potential risks and issues related to the migration and share reporting on adherence to agreed quality, timelines, and industry best practices
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience (10+ years) in project management roles and working with Agile methodologies in the financial services or technology sector
- Project management and Agile certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMP, PRINCE2)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Previous exposure to and understanding of the index value chain and ecosystem as well as market data and analytics solutions
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and problem-solving
