AI Security Architect - Hyperscaler & Cloud AI Platforms

About the role

AI Security Engineering & Enablement (AISE) team at Cognizant builds and maintains AI security reference architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP. The architect defines security baselines, conducts STRIDE threat modeling, and co-designs secure AI solutions with platform and cloud teams. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, hybrid work model with on‑site attendance as needed.

What you’ll do

• Own and maintain AI security reference architectures across major cloud AI services
• Define and maintain security baselines for AI platforms and services
• Conduct STRIDE‑based threat modeling and develop platform‑specific security controls
• Co‑design secure AI solutions, providing architecture guidance and security sign‑off
• Lead development of AI‑native security patterns and guardrail integrations
• Collaborate with IT AI Architects, platform engineering, and hyperscaler teams

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years cloud security architecture experience
• 3+ years AI/ML security in public cloud
• Hands‑on with at least two of Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, Vertex AI
• STRIDE threat modeling and familiarity with MITRE ATLAS, OWASP LLM Top 10
• Design identity architectures for AI workloads (OAuth 2.0, RBAC, ABAC)
• Implement cloud data security controls (encryption, tokenization, private endpoints)
• Develop AI supply chain security (SBOM, model provenance)
• IaC expertise with Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation
